J&K shooters bring recognition to UT Internationally, says JKRA president

JAMMU, Feb 25: Jammu Kashmir Rifle Association (JKRA) convened a meeting with all members, coaches, and heads of various committees to commend the dedication and achievements of J&K shooters at both national and international platforms.
All members took immense pleasure in recognizing the outstanding performances of their shooters across different events and tournaments from national to international levels.
Notably, Asian Medallist Aneesha Sharma’s remarkable bronze medal win in the Asian Games was recognized as a testament to J&K shooters’ prowess and dedication. The other notable ace shooters also appreciated were Vishal Sharma, Top Shooter – J&K (male), Shimani Choudhary, National Medallist and Raveena Jangid, Top Shooter, J&K (female).
S.S. Sodhi highlighted the upcoming shooting tournaments and expressed hope for increased participation in the coming months. Furthermore, he also expressed gratitude to Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha for providing various significant platforms encouraging sporting talent among both rural and urban sectors.
T.S. Tony, an executive member, announced the opening of a latest shooting range in Suchetgarh to facilitate the participation of children from the area in national and international games. He pledged financial aid for the new range and expressed satisfaction with the association’s dedication.
Further, Ashok Kumar (Joint Director), Vishal Mehra (Technical Coach), Tarun Dev Singh (Technical Coach), Aman Singh (ISSF Coach) were also present on the occasion and appreciated for their exceptional talent and commitment.
