J&K shines in National Grappling C’ship

JAMMU, Aug 30: J&K Grappling team shined in the 15th National Grappling Championship by winning medals, held at Sonepat Haryana.
The players who won medals for Jammu and Kashmir were Sundervi Billowria (Gold), Aman Gupta (Bronze), Abhi Dadwal (Bronze), Tanmeet Kour (Bronze), Suryansh Singh Rajput (Bronze), Anmol Kumar (Bronze) and Trushi Gupta (Bronze).
All the players were honoured while reaching Jammu in a function wherein Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and former Deputy Chief Minister, Kavinder Gupta was the chief guest of the event.
The former Deputy Chief Minister expressed concern over the failure of Jammu and Kashmir Sports Council to provide the basic facilities to the sports persons and aspirants of the Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory. He urged the Council to become proactive in providing facilities on the pattern of Haryana Government so that our youngsters bring unprecedented laurels to the UT and its people.
Kavinder also appreciated Aman Gupta, Founder of Inara Welfare Trust for providing training to the young sports aspirants for making them capable of successful participation in the events at national and international levels. He expressed gratitude to Pooja Chauhan for extending all possible support to these youngsters and encouraging them for their bright future in sports.
Aman Gupta, Founder of the Trust in his address on the occasion highlighted the aims and objectives of the trust. He informed that the Trust provided full support to both the aforesaid students enabling them to excel in the field of sports.
