JAMMU, Mar 23: J&K Police wrestlers emerged overall winners in the State Wrestling Championship, being organized by J&K State Wrestling Association at Indoor complex, MA Stadium, here today. On the valedictory function, Sajjad Ahmad Kitchloo, Minister for Industries and Commerce, Minister of State for Home, R&B and Mechanical Engineering, Housing and Urban Development, Tourism and Culture was the chief guest, who presented the rolling trophy to the J&K Police wrestlers in presence of Dushyant Sharma, former president, Wrestling Federation of India and general secretary, J&K Wrestling Association, Imtiyaz Ahmad Zargar, Youth President, National Conference, Doda, Inderjeet, vice president, National Conference, Kishtwar, and officials of the association. While speaking, Minister appreciated the role of J&K Wrestling Association for organizing such a mega events and assured that Government will provide all necessary help and support to the wrestlers of the State by providing necessary infrastructure and requirements for the promotion of wrestling in our State. He also assured that some budding wrestlers of the State would be recruited in J&K Police. Among others present were Ashutosh Sharma, general secretary J&K Olympics Association, Nariender Mahajan, executive member, WFI, Ajay Vaid, treasurer, J&K, associated vice president WFI, Vijay Pahalwan, Balkar Singh, Raju Shiv Mandir, Abdul Ahad Shah, Manveet Abrol, Om Parkash and Mulkh Raj.
