J&K Pencak Silat team emerges winner

JAMMU, Mar 14: J&K Pencak Silat team emerged as winner in the Senior National Pencak Silat Championship, organised by Pencak Silat Association Chandigarh at GHG College Ludhiana (Punjab) from March 11 to 14.
The UT level team emerged overall Champions/ winners among 34 States, while Maharashtra secured runner-up trophy and Haryana stood on the 3rd place in the total medal tally.
Dr Swaranjeet Singh Deol was the chief guest on the closing ceremony, while Kishor Prakash Yewale, president, Indian Pencak Silat Federation, Mufti Hamid Yasin secretary general, Mohammad Iqbal, coach team India and Irfan Aziz Botta, treasurer of the Federation were present during the event.
