PAHALGAM, June 14: J&K lifted overall championship while Maharashtra finished second and Haryana claimed third place in the medal tally of the 1st GM Dar Sqay National Championship, which concluded with an impressive and well attended valedictory function, here today.
Dr Bashir, president Sqay Federation of India was the chief guest on the valedictory function, who distributed prizes among the winners.
200 participants from 15 States took part in the Championship.
While speaking on the occasion, Dr Bashir said that the Sqay Federation of India shows remarkable performance at the International scene and prayed for its good future in nooks and corners of the Country.
He further said that keeping in mind the contribution of GM Dar for popularising Sqay in India, the Federation has decided to conduct regular National Championship in his memory.
