CK Nayudu U-23 Cricket Tournament

JAMM, Jan 10: Auqib Nabi, Paras Sharma, Sahil Lotra, Hisham Saleem and Abhishant Bakshi dazzled as Jammu and Kashmir was in commanding position against Kerala at stumps on Day-2 in the ongoing match of CK Nayudu Under-23 Cricket Tournament, being played at Country Cricket Stadium, Gharota, near here.
Earlier, on Day-1 yesterday, put into bat, J&K managed to score 161 runs in their first innings. Paras Sharma top scored with 42 runs, while Muneeb Munaf and Abhishant Bakshi contributed 34 and 22 runs respectively. Basil NP took 3 wickets from Kerala, while Nair and Suresh claimed 2 wickets each.
Kerala, in reply was bundled out for a paltry total of 63 runs as medium pacer Auqib Nabi and spinner Sahil Lotra wreaked havoc and captured 5 and 4 wickets respectively. Rohan Kunnummal top scored with 23 runs for Kerala.
J&K declared their second innings at 304/9 to set a target of 403 runs for the rivals. Hisham Saleem (54), Paras Sharma (54) and Abhishant Bakshi (53) scored half-centuries, while Sahil Lotra, Irfan Haq and Tehsin Dar contributed 36, 29 and 25 runs to the total respectively. For Keral Nair took 3 wickets, while Basil and Suresh claimed 2 wickets each.
