J&K gains vital first innings lead in drawn match against Jharkhand

JAMMU, Dec 14: Jammu and Kashmir gained vital first innings lead against Jharkhand as the match ended in a draw at Keenan Stadium, Jamshedpur today.
Jammu and Kashmir scored 396 runs in their first innings to gain a vital lead of 16 runs as Jharkhand had scored 380 runs in their first essay. Overnight unbeaten batsman, Tahsin Dar scored 60 while Sunil Kumar contributed 21 runs to the total. For Jharkhand SM Tripathi took 23 wickets, while skipper Bal Krishna and Ashish bagged 2 wickets each.
Jharkhand were 286/2 in their second essay at the draw of stumps on final day today. Both the Jharkhand openers slammed brilliant centuries. V Vishal who scored 129 runs in the first innings, scored 150 runs in the second innings, while another Jharkhand opener Aryaman Sen scored 100 runs. From J&K, Sunil Kumar and Taizeem Younis Tak claimed one wicket each.
