J&K Forest, J&K Bank register wins in semis

JAMMU, Feb 1: J&K Forest and J&K Bank registered wins over rivals in their respective matches and sailed into the semis of the ongoing 2nd Pandit Prem Nath Dogra Memorial Football Gold Cup, being organized by State Sports Club, J&K at Mini Stadium, Parade, here.
In the first quarterfinal match, J&K Forest outplayed Kehar Football Club Punjab by 4-2 goals and entered into the semifinal round.
J&K Forest dominated the first half by scoring three goals. Javed Ahmed scored two goals, while Waseem Javed netted one goal. Sameer Hussain scored the fourth goal for J&K Forest in the second half. Kehar Football Club netted two goals through Jasvinder Singha and Saggar.
J&K Bank outclassed Khalsa Football Club Amritsar by a solitary goal and registered berth in the semis. Both the teams made fabulous moves to score goals. Even the defence line made good moves of both teams and did not let other team to score goals. But eventually a slight error in the defence line of Khalsa FC helped Shahid of J&K Bank to score a goal in the first half.
The matches were officiated by Subej Singh, Daljit Singh, Dheeraj, Bhupinder Pal Singh and Mohinder Kalsi (Physio).
