J&K dancers win medals in 3rd Indo Nepal Sports Festival

JAMMU, June 28: India contingent comprising 10 dancers from Jammu and Kashmir won 10 medals with 2 gold, 5 silver and 3 bronze in the 3rd Indo Nepal Sports Festival held at Dasrath Stadium, Tripureshwari, Kathmandu in Nepal.
51 children from across the Country participated in the Festival. Out of a total number of students from India, 10 dancers were from Jammu and Kashmir, who were selected on the basis of their dance performances in the competition held at Chandigarh were they won galaxy of medals in various categories.
All the students of J&K were from Harman Dance Institute, Upper Gadi Garh, Jammu, who were trained by renowned dance trainer, Akshay.
The participants from Jammu and Kashmir included Jasmeen Kour, Harmanjeet Singh, Harsheen Kour, Harshleen Kour, Tanvir Kour, Jhanvi, Arush, Reekant, Harmandeep Singh, Kulvinder Singh, Sanaa and Faisal.
Ikjot Parwanda and Gurvinder Parwanda were coach and manager of the team, while Tajinder Singh, MD Harman Dance Institute and Guvinder Kour Sudan, State Secretary, Dance Sports Council of India also accompanied the team.
