JAMMU, Jan 4: Jammu and Kashmir Taekwondo team bagged 4 medals with one gold, one silver and two bronze in the 64th National School Games in the discipline of Choi Kwang Do held at Durg in Chhattisgarh.
The Championship was organised by Government of Chhattisgarh under the aegis of Choi Kwang Do Federation of India, recognised by School Games Federation of India (SGFI) under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports and Indian Olympic Association.
Uttkarsh Bhau won gold medal in under-14 boys event. The other participants in this event included Aditya Koushal, Harshjot Singh, Vasu Dasgotra, Zahoor Bashir and Faheem; Palak won bronze medal in under-14 girls category. The other participants in this event included Avneet Kour, Payal Choudhary, Jasleen Kour and Anisha; Keshav Saini won silver medal in under-17 boys and Malkeet Singh Bajwa won silver medal in under-19 boys category. Aruna Bhau was the team coach.
The medal winners were honoured by Chanchal Kour, District Youth Services and Sports Officer, Jammu as the chief guest, while Dr Amit Vaid, Chairman of the Association, and Dr. Anil Mehta famous Gynaecologist were the guests of honour.
