JAMMU, Oct 20: After Indian Baja 2018, it was 20th Edition of Raid de Himalaya 2018, the highest rally battle field arena in the world, wherein J&K adventurous sportspersons bagged 3 Podiums and kept the State’s flag high.
Taufeeq Mughal, Junaid Bin and Abrar Bin Ayub were the achievers in the event.
Taufeeq Mughal who is in to rallying from 2009, belongs to small town Bhaderwah of J&K. He has achieved over all 9th position @ Polaris 570 sportsman, 4th position in imported bike category @ 570 sportsman.
1st in quad category Polaris Sportsman Touring 570 4×4, Taufeeq said “I survived because the fire inside me burned brighter than the fire around me.”
Hailing from Valley, Junaid Bine was in Gypsy 1st timer in the history of Raid who stood 3rd in T2 stock gypsy, was over all 19th.
Abrar Bin Ayub belonging to Sopore in Valley won X-treme Alpine in 20th Raid on his Hero Impulse stood 1st and gave tough fight to all the alpine bikers as well as the X-treme bikers.
Antrakesh Jamwal, the youngest driver from Jammu gave tough time to other drivers but unfortunately preparation of vehicle let him down on 3rd day of the Raid.
Managing Director Yokohama India, Kazuya Miyazawa along with CGM Sanjay Chatterjee, Rajeev Singh Tomar AGM and Gourav Sawhney RSM Yokohama honoured the ace bilers on the occasion.
