SRINAGAR, July 28: J&K Bank-XI trounced Shaheen Sports Jammu by three goals to one (3-1) and Kashmir Avengers beat Hyderya Sports FC to two goals to one (2-1) in the ongoing 1st edition of Professional Football League-20201, being organised by J&K Football Association in collaboration with J&K Sports Council at Synthetic Turf TRC Ground, here today.
The first match was played between J&K Bank XI and Shaheen Sports Jammu. J&K Bank’s young Turks started their innings with an offensive football with perfect ball control and man to man marking but the opponent team-Shaheen FC Jammu countered all the attacks and did not allow them to cross the forward line to secure goal. It was the 20th minute when J&K Bank succeeded to net goal through Akif. In the 35th minute of the game the J&K Bank was awarded a penalty kick for deliberate handball by defender of Shaheen FC inside the penalty area and JK Bank XI doubled their lead through Aakif.
It was in the 60th minute when Shaheen FC boys made a brilliant move and scored a goal in 2nd half of the game and made everybody surprised. In the dying moments, Goutam of J&K Bank XI increased the margin by scoring third goal. Thus J&K Bank XI defeated Shaheen FC Jammu by three goals to one. Aakif was declared as man of the match.
The 2nd match was played between Kashmir Avengers FC and Hyderya Sports FC. Both the Clubs tried hard from very beginning to secure goal but only Kashmir Avengers FC succeeded in finding the net through Kelvin and maintained its lead over the opponent. Hydera Sports FC made certain beautiful moves and their efforts were applauded by the spectators. In the 2nd half Hyderya Sports missed an open net goal in 50th minute but succeeded to net the goal in the 60th minute through Kamran. It was the 80th minute the Kashmir Avengers FC doubled the lead by scoring a beautiful goal through Kelvin. Thus Kashmir Avengers FC defeated Hyderya Sports FC by two goals to one. Burhan of Kashmir Avengers FC was declared as man of the match.
The Real Kashmir FC will face Downtown Hero’s FC at 3 pm and Lonestar KFC to lock horns with J&K Bank-XI at 5 pm tomorrow at the same venue.
