J&K Bank XI drubs DFA Srinagar, lifts 24th State Football C’ship title

SRINAGAR, May 29: J&K Bank XI drubbed DFA Srinagar by 2-1 goals and clinched the title trophy of the 24th State Football Championship, played here today.
In the first half, players of both the teams raided the goal side of each other, but could not succeed and the first half ended with no goal.
In the second half, J&K Bank XI entered the ground fully refreshed and started raiding the DFA Srinagar goal. In one of its raids, Rohit of J&K Bank XI scored first goal of the match in 60th minute, which was equalized by DFA Srinagar through Asrar.
J&K Bank team added more strength and doubled the lead through Danish in the last minute of the game, which the DFA players failed to equalize and lost the game by 2-1 goals.
On the valedictory function, Haji Mohammad Yaseen Khan, Chairman Economic Alliance was the chief guest, who awarded the winner and runner-up teams in presence of Abdul Hameed Banday, Ex- Chairman Sports Board, J&K Bank Limited and Zeeshan Pandith, who were guests of honour.
