JAMMU, Jan 14: J&K Bank Academy DFA Anantnag registered convincing victories over their rivals in the ongoing 12th Christmas Gold Cup Football Tournament, beinf organised by J&K Christian Welfare Association, under the auspices of Jammu and Kashmir Football Association (JKFA) at GGM Science College Football ground, here.
In the first match, Bank Academy defeated Vijay Club by a solitary goal (1-0). Ilyas was the goal scorer for J&K Bank Academy in 65th minute of the match.
In another match, DFA Anantnag got the better of Jammu United FC via tie-breaker by five goals to three (5-3).
The matches were officiated by Ricky Kumar, Dil Bahadur, Vijay Kumar, Dheeraj Menia and Mohinder Kalsi (Physio).
The matches among others were witnessed by Zamir Thakur, President JKFA and SM Gill, Ex MLC and President All J&K Christian Welfare Association.
In tomorrow’s fixture, Arco Baramulla will take on Sainik Colony FC at 11.30 am, while Hero FC will lock horns with J&K SRTC at 3 pm.
