Jiyaad Magray slams brilliant ton

JAMMU, Dec 17: Talented opening batsman, Jiyaad Nazir Magray scored a magnificent century (102 runs) off 133 balls, studded with 15 crispy boundaries and 3 massive sixes against Uttar Pradesh in the ongoing Cooch Behar Under-19 Cricket Tournament at Bhamashah Park Ground, Meerut in Uttar Pradesh, today.
J&K were 249/8 when the stumps were drawn on day-1 today. Owais Ahmed and Umar Majid were unbeaten on 13 runs each.
Earlier, batting first, J&K openers began the innings in style, hitting a series of boundaries and sixes in first 10 overs, scoring 55 runs in 9.3 overs, before skipper Qamran Iqbal was dismissed for 43 runs including 7 fours and a six. Sahil Lotra (38) and Vivrant Sharma (26) were the other contributors.
As per the reports reaching here, Jiyaad was in sublime touch and hit the ball with fluid grace and utter brilliance, sending the rival bowlers on a leather hunt. For Uttar Pradesh, Akshay Sain and Vikas Singh claimed 2 wickets each.
