JCC crushes PCC; Akash Choudhary guides CCC to register win over YCC

JAMMU, Jan 12: Jammu Cricket Club (JCC) and Challenger Cricket Club (CCC) crushed rivals in their respective league matches and entered into the next stage of the ongoing KC Sports Club Cricket Tournament, being sponsored by KC Hyundai, Jammu.
The first league match was played between Prince Cricket Club (PCC) and Jammu Cricket Club (JCC), in which former registered resounding win by 9 wickets.
Batting first PCC scored 116 runs in stipulated 20 overs for the loss of 7 wickets. Yogesh was the top scorer with 29 runs and Sahil contributed with 24 runs.
For JCC Deepak was the pick of the bowler with 3 wickets and Rahil scalped 2.
In reply JCC played valiantly and finish the match in 14.2 overs for the loss of just 1 wicket. Sidharth Magotra scored unbeaten 47 runs, Vivek Singh also made unbeaten 38 runs and Jaswinder contributed with 22 runs.
For PCC side, Ayaz was the lone wicket taker.

In the second league match, five wickets haul by Akash Choudhary guided Challenger Cricket Club (CCC) to defeat Yankey Cricket Club (YCC) by 6 wickets.
Electing to bat first after winning the toss, YCC made paltry 47 runs in 11.1 overs for all out. Kapil scored 19 runs and Vishal made 16 runs.
For CCC side, Akash Choudhary with his brilliant bowling performance scalped 5 wickets including hatrick, whereas Sahil also displayed magnificent bowling performance and took 4 wickets, and Sunit claimed 1 wicket.
In reply, CCC chased the target in 6.1 overs by losing 4 wickets. Govil made 12 Runs and Shoaib scored 10 runs.
Akash Choudhary of Challenger Cricket Club (CCC) was declared as man of the match for his brilliant bowling performance.
The matches were officiated by Sandeep Manchanda and Abhijyot Singh as umpires, whereas Shanker maintained the scorecard.
