JASC organizes Cycle Rally

JAMMU, Apr 24: The 16th Annual Cycle Rally of the Jammu Adventure Sports Club (JASC) was held here today.
The theme of the Rally was “Save Jammu’s Heritage”.
More than 300 students participated in the rally, which was opened to students from age 10 years to 16 years.
The Rally was flagged of by Sandeep Gulhati, Chairman in presence of all the members.
The chief guest for the rally was Avny Lavasa, SDM.
The rally started from Bahu Plaza and concluded at playfield near Green Fields School.
The basic idea behind conducting the cycle rally was make the people aware about the significance of preserving Heritage of Jammu.  In her address Avny extolled the children to actively participate in all such activities.
Lots of prizes were distributed which were picked up by lucky dip.
First prize was a Cycle sponsored by National Fiat, which was won by Manu Kabra of Heritage School, while the second and third prize was Fire Fox Safety Kit sponsored by Vikram Mahajan to encourage children to wear safety gear.
Consolation prize was a watch sponsored by Manmohan Wahi.
Cash prizes were from Nitco Roadways and Jammu Adventure Sports Club, while the Gift hampers from Jodhamal Public School and Green Fields School.
In her vote of thanks, the General Secretary of the club, Bhavana Sethi thanked the sponsors Jai Beverages, Randhir Britannia, Bee Enn Hospital, Traffic Department, Police for security, Green Fields School and Bhavana Rana, convener.
