JSK Range Friendship Cricket Cup

JAMMU, Sept 18: Jammu Warriors Club and Lakshmi Cricket Club registered wins against their opponents and entered into the next round of the ongoing JSK Range Friendship Cricket Cup, being organized by Range Police Headquarters Jammu under the Civic Action Program (CAP) of J&K Police at Parade ground here today.
In today’s matches, Pawan Parihar So to DIG Jammu was the chief guest who interacted with the players and conveyed his best wishes to them. Rajesh Gill, Chief Prosecuting Officer and Coordinator of the team was also present on the occasion.
In the first match today, Jammu Warriors Club defeated Jammu Friends Club by 4 wickets.
Batting first, Jammu Friends Club scored 64 runs for the loss of all the wickets in 19.2 overs, Amritpal Singh made 20 runs and Dimple scored 14 runs.
From Jammu Warriors Club, Kuldeep took 3 wickets, Akash Choudhary, Abhinav and Abhishek scalped 2 wickets each.
In reply, Jammu Warriors Club chased the target in 14.2 overs for the loss of 6 wickets thus won the match by 4 wickets. Nasir chipped in 24 runs and Ankush scored 10 runs.
From Jammu Friends Club side, Rompy and Shamsher Singh took 2 wickets each, while Rajesh Gill took 1 wicket.
Kuldeep was declared as Man of the Match.
In the second match, Lakshmi Cricket Club defeated Horizon Samba by 7 wickets.
Batting first, Horizon Samba scored 78 runs by losing all the wickets in 18.2 overs. Manjit scored 34 runs and Ashish made 10 runs.
From Lakshmi Club, Dhruv Mahajan and Tappan took 3 wickets each while Sameer took 2 wickets.
In reply, Lakshmi Club chased the target in 8.2 overs for the loss of 3 wickets thus won the match by 7 wickets. Vinayak and Pardeep were main scorers with 20 and 15 runs respectively.
From Horizon Samba, Sawan and Vivrant took 1 wicket each.
Dhruv Mahajan was declared as Man of the Match.
The matches were officiated by Ashok Kumar, Sabastian and Mohit.
