Jammu United, Param Club enter next stage of Football Tourney

JAMMU, Dec 4: Jammu United Football Club and Param Football Club outplayed rivals in their respective matches and entered into the next stage of the ongoing 1st Mufti Mohammad Sayeed Memorial Gold Cup State League Football Tournament, at GGM Science College ground, here today.
In the first match, Jammu United defeated Jammu Sports by 3-1 goals. For Jammu United side, first goal was scored by Rajveer Singh in 15th minute, whereas the second goal was scored by Farhan in 40th minute and the third goal was netted by Rohit Yadav of Jammu United. For Jammu Sports side, the lone goal scorer was Sachin in 16th minute.
In the second match, NGR Football Club lost to Param Football Club by a solitary goal, which was netted by Dabinder in 25th minute.
The matches were officiated by Moon Stephen, Suresh Gupta, Vijay Kumar and Rakesh Kumar.
The matches were witnessed by Sheikh Mehmood, President DFA Jammu, Narinder Gupta, Former Member Sports Council, Varinder Gupta, KP Singh, David Masih, Mohan Lal, Charan Dass, Yousaf Don, Rajesh Sumbria, Ranjeet Singh, International Player.
In tomorrow’s fixture, Engineer XI will take on Christian Star, State Football Academy will play against Mussa Football Club, Vijay Club will lock horns with Shaheen Football Club and Young Heroes    will clash with Young Rovers.
