Jammu Tawi, WCC Red outplay rivals, enter next round

JAMMU, Jan 25: Jammu Tawi and WCC Red outplayed rivals in their respective matches and entered into the next round of the ongoing CL Chrangoo Memorial Cricket Tournament, being played here today.
In the first match, Jammu Tawi defeated WCC Blue by a huge margin of 59 runs and sailed into the next round of the tournament.
Batting First, Jammu Tawi scored 159 runs by losing 5 wickets in stipulated 20 overs. Aryan played a magnificent inning of 59 runs, while Yawar chipped in 45 runs and Kartik scored 16 runs.
From WCC Blue side, Ashish scalped 2 wickets and Aryan took one wicket.
In reply, WCC Blue failed to chase the target and bundled out at 100 runs by losing all the wickets. Shubam made 19 runs, while Karan and Somil scored 16 and 11 runs respectively.
From bowling side, Kamran and Adil scalped 2 wickets each, while Yaraw, Kartik and Sachin took one wicket apiece.
Aryan was declared as Man of the Match.
Meanwhile, WCC Red outplayed Anti Corruption team by 21 runs and registered berth in the next stage of the tournament.
Batting first, WCC Red made 131 runs by losing 5 wickets in allotted 20 overs. Ishtiaq was the top scorer with 53 runs, while Firdous and Deepak scored 19 and 16 runs respectively.
From bowling side, Mumen, Sunil and Sameer were wicket takers.
In second inning, Anti Corruption team failed to chase the target and scored 110 runs by losing 9 wickets in 20 overs. Mujeeb was the top scorer with 35 runs, while Ajaz and Imtiaz made 16 and 12 runs respectively.
From WCC Red side, Ishtiaq and Firdous bowled well and scalped 3 wickets each, while Raman and Jahangir took one wicket apiece.
Ishtiaq was adjudged as Man of the Match.
The matches were officiated by Gharu Ram, Vineet and Vishal as umpires.
