JAMMU, Sept 7: Jammu Superstars registered 13 runs win over Jammu Kings and registered berth in the next phase of the ongoing J&K Peace T-20 Champio-nship, being organized by Vishal Cricket Club (VCC) Jammu and District Sports Council Jammu in collaboration with Sehwag Academy, here today.
In Group-A match played at Parade Ground, Jammu Superstars defeated Jammu Kings by 13 runs in a nail biting match.
Batting first, Jammu Superstars scored 106 runs in 18 overs for the loss of 8 wickets. Smarpit was the top scorer with 34 runs, while Ritvik, Gurdaat and Rohan made 15, 13 and 10 runs respectively.
From Jammu Kings side, Usmaan took 2 wickets, while Aparjit, Hanzla and Devvats scalped onw wicket each.
In the second inning, Jammu Kings failed to chase the target and bundled out at 93 runs in the stipulated 18 overs for the lost of 7 wickets, Aparjit played a splendid inning of 47 runs, while Kannav made 15 runs.
From Jammu Superstars side, Yugan Dhar scalped 2 wickets, while Smarpit, Praful, Nalin and Surinder took one wicket apiece.
Smarpit of Jammu Superstars was adjudged as Man of the Match.
The match was officiated by Sadiq Hussain, Vinod, Abrar and Suhail.
In tomorrow’s fixture, Jammu Sunrisers will take on Jammu Superstars at Parade ground.
