JAMMU, Dec 19: Sanskriti School Kathua celebrated its first Annual Athletic Meet “Lakshya-2015”, here today.
The chief guest was Manmohan Singh, Additional District Development Commissioner, Kathua, who was accompanied by Prof Ram Murti, Director Bhagat Kabir College Kathua, Kawaljeet Kour chairperson Taran Educational Trust, special invitees Surinder Singh, Sardar Darshan Singh ,Dr Satvir Singh Raina and Naresh Gupta.
The school choir presented a heart rending song titled “Hum bache is school ke hain” which is self composed.
Principal Shuchita Gupta in her address highlighted the importance of hard work and perseverance in life. She also threw light on all the events since the inception of the school. Various races conducted were Chocolate race 20 mtrs for Pre-Nursery Class winners were Dhruv, Harjaap and Harsh 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively; Jump race for Pre-Nur winners were Puniksha, Hitesh and Radhan 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively; Identify apple race for Pre-Nur class winners were Asran, Ibhan and Rishit 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively; Banana race 30 mtrs for Nursery class winners were Rakshan, Avantika and Kyna 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively; Packing of bags 20 mtr race winners were Baby, Pragyan and Tayyab 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively; 60 mtrs race Boys winners were Kartik, Irfan and Harshvardhan 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively; 60 mtr race Girls winners were Ridhima, Nitika and Ridham 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively; Lemon and spoon race for 1st class winners were Dipika, Karsakaya and Mohit 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively; Frog race boys and girls for 1st class winners are Anand, Vishal and Namrita 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively; Sack race winners were Abhinav, Baghapreet and Neelakshi 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively; Skipping race boys winners were Harshvardhan, Kartik and Vansh 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively; Skipping race girls winners were Nandani, Nitika and Rasleen 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively; Long jump Boys winners were Anmol, Irfan and Vansh 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively; Long jump girls winners were Ridhima, Ridham and Nandani 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively; Book balance race winners are Jayant, Arnav and Deepanshu 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively; Zigzag race winners team B and last pastry race winners are Umang, Rakshit and Raghavi 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively. Best Athlete girls award was given to Ridhima Gupta and Best Athlete boy was given to Harshvardhan.
