KATHUA, Dec 13: ‘LAKSHYA-7’, the Annual Sports Meet of Jammu Sanskriti School, Kathua, was celebrated with great enthusiasm and splendour, transforming the school grounds into a vibrant arena of energy, discipline, and youthful determination.
The programme began with a welcome address by Radha Sharma, Coordinator (Primary Wing). In her address, she emphasized that LAKSHYA-7 is not merely a sports event, but a platform to instill values such as discipline, confidence, sportsmanship, and resilience in young learners, thereby setting a positive and inspiring tone for the day.
Mushtaq Ahmad Chowdhary (General Manager, DIC Kathua) graced the inaugural ceremony as chief guest while Barsha Rani (Child Development Project Officer, Barnoti) was chief guest at culmination ceremony. Guest of honour was Surya Bhagat (Functional Manager, DIC Kathua).
The ceremonial lighting of the Mashal marked the formal inauguration of the sports meet. This was followed by an impressive March Past by the students.
A series of vibrant performances and competitive events followed, captivating the audience throughout the day. These included yoga demonstrations and thrilling track and field events such as races, relays, hurdles, and obstacle courses.
Creative presentations like Ribbon Drill, Pom-Pom and Zumba Aerobics, along with enthusiastic parent games, added joy and strengthened the bond between the school and the parent community.
The event concluded on a proud and patriotic note with the singing of the National Anthem.
