JAMMU, Dec 15: Jammu Sanskriti School, Jammu celebrated Annual Sports meet ‘Udaan’.
On the occasion, Rahul Malik SSP Security J&K was the chief guest, while Rayees Mohammad Bhat SSP Udhampur was guest of honour and Shailender Mishra was special guest. Shweta Thakur, International Judo Player and Pankaj Malhotra (played International test match in Indian team and won Gold medal) were also present as special invitees. Chairperson Harpreet Singh Anand along with other members from management also graced the occasion.
Camaraderie, never giving up and overcoming ones drawbacks are inculcated among students in the grounds of school. The event began with the welcome address bequeathed by head girl of the school Rohini Sharma followed by balloon releasing ceremony to mark the commencement of the event.
As a tradition of the school and a mark of green drive saplings were presented to the dignitaries. No event can be accomplished without the blessings from Lord so to invoke blessings an enthralling synchronization was presented by Sanskritians in the form of Ganesh Vandna. Sub sequentially the ‘Olympic Light’ was lightened by sports captain who manifested the ignition of fire to achieve the goals. Ensuing this the Annual Report was consolidated by Principal cum Vice Chairperson Rohini Aima who while addressing the stakeholders asserted that in the journey of five years they have achieved and accomplished many herculean goals which would have been impossible without the support of Management and staff. Opulence of sports activities like hurdle race, frog jump, sports theme dance, tug of war, yoga performance aerobics, ribbon dance were perceptible during the event.
Meritorious students in various fields of sports and games were felicitated with trophies and medals by the chief guest, guest of honour and special invitees.
Rahul Malik in his address emboldened the children for following and adopting the same rule in life.
In the end, vote of thanks was conveyed by Varuna Mangotra, Primary Wing Coordinator.
