JAMMU, Apr 10: Jammu Sahodaya Schools Complex (JSSC) held a Zoom meeting of all the members of the Executive Committee adhering lockdown orders as per the clarion call made by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi to observe social distancing in letter & spirit.
The meeting was presided over by the new President for the session 2020-2021, Pramod Srivastava (Principal, Model Academy) and affirmatively attended by General Secretary Shuchita Gupta (Principal, IDPS Kathua) Treasurer, Rajesh Rathore (Principal, GD Goenka School) PRO, Dr Vikesh Kaur (Principal, Doon International School) TSO, Anil Pathania (Principal, JKPS Kathua) and Mentor, KCS Mehta (Principal, IDPS Akhnoor).
The main agenda of the first meeting of the session was to ponder upon and extract the various strategies in making up the academic loss of the students due to the closure of the schools and its services. The entire executive committee consented upon the judicious use of ‘Online support’ for providing required notes, worksheets, relevant animations, self-explanatory videos, assignments, virtual classes, questionnaires and subject teacher’s support simultaneously to the students from time to time.
After a brain storming session of almost one hour, the executive committee decided to go forward with online support in the present uncertain scenario, but observed that for making a wise use of ‘Online Classes’, the ‘internet services’ in Jammu need up-gradation to 4G to reach out to each and every child.
For the welfare of thousands of the students in the region, the committee decided to send a requisition letter to the Lt Governor of J&K for restoring 4G internet services in the region.
The meeting ended up with a combined prayer for the humanity depicting optimism and life in abundance along with a token of gratitude for the frontline workers.
The President (JSSC) thanked all the executive members for participating and contributing wholeheartedly in the support of this noble cause of education.
