JAMMU, Mar 25: Jammu Rising Stars registered 3rd consecutive win over Vishal Jammu Kings in the ongoing 5-Match Cricket Evaluation series for junior cricketers which is being played at Parade Ground, here.
The cricket series for junior cricketers in which teams namely Jammu Rising Stars and Vishal Jammu Kings are participating is being jointly organized by Jammu Sports Council and J&K Sports promoters Club, Jammu.
The slogan of the tournament is “Sports Shall Live on….”
In today’s match, Vijay Aima, Senior Cricketer and President of All India Kashmiri Samaj (AIKS) was the chief guest, who interacted with the budding cricketers on the occasion.
He was accompanied by Rajesh Gill, Organizing Secretary of the event, Rajesh Dhar, Chairman Media Committee JKCA and DySP City, Vivek Shekher.
Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest assured the budding cricketers that his organization will hold a cricket series at Delhi during summer vacations and a camp under reputed coaches and trainers.
Mr Gill thanked the chief guest for his initiative and assurance.
Earlier, Vishal Jammu Kings scored 96 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. Akshit top scored with 28, while Sachin and Praful Dhar contributed 27 and 19 runs to the total respectively. For Jammu Rising Stars, Aditpal Singh, Laith and Agastaya shared 1 wicket each.
In reply, Jammu Rising Stars achieved the target in 17.2 overs with Shivansh (30), Laith (23) and Rohan Gill (20) being the main scorers. Shivansh was declared as man of the match.
Sandeep manchanda Sanjay and Vinod were the officials in today’s match.
