Jammu-A raise 2-0 lead over Jammu-B by winning second test match

JAMMU, Oct 9: Jammu-A raised 2-0 lead over Jammu-B by winning the second test match of the Diwali Cup Under-12 2-Day Matches Cricket Tournament, organized by Kishan Chand Cricket Club (KCCC), Jammu at Mayank Goswami Cricket Academy, here today.
Resuming from an overnight total of 148/6, Jammu-A managed to score 155 runs by losing all the wickets in 53 overs, thus raising the lead of 96 runs over Jammu-B. Aarav Mahajan faced 16 balls and added 9 runs to his yesterday’s 59 runs inning off 132 balls, while Parth made 29 runs off 21 balls.
From Jammu-B side, Neetyam scalped 4 wickets by conceding 29 runs in 4 overs, while Akshat Sharma took 2 wickets by giving 20 runs in 11 overs.
In the second inning, Jammu-B chased the lead and scored 188 runs, thus raising the lead of 92 runs over Jammu-A. Akshit Gandral (Ansh) smashed some crispy shots in his splendid inning of 89 runs in 122 balls, while Akshat made 44 runs in 35 balls and Atharv chipped in 15 runs in 90 balls.
From Jammu-A side, Parth scalped 3 wickets in 11 over by giving 43 runs, while Prabjot took 2 wickets by conceding 26 runs in 6 overs. Vasu clinched 2 wickets in 9 overs by giving 17 runs.
In the second inning, Jammu-A scored 67 runs by losing 8 wickets when the match was called-off. Aarav Mahajan made 20 runs off 41 balls, while Parth scored 19 runs in 11 balls and Aaryan Dassi chipped in 7 runs in 67 balls.
From Jammu-B side, Neetyam scalped 2 wickets by giving 5 runs in 5 overs, while Akshat took one wicket by conceding 17 runs in 4 overs.
Jammu-A was declared winner by virtue of first innings. Jammu-A registered 2-0 points win over Jammu-B in this cup.
Aarav Mahajan was adjudged as Man of the Match for his brilliant batting performance.
During the match, the outstanding performance was by Neetyam Abrol and Parth, who scalped 6 wickets, Prabhjot and Akshat, who took 4 wickets each.
The Championship is being played under the supervision of Sunil Kumar, Coach, Mayank Goswami Cricket Academy.
