Jammu Premier League in full swing

JAMMU, Jan 23: Jammu Sports Premier League, organised by Jammu and Kashmir Sports Council (JKSC) in collaboration with District Associations of different disciplines got underway at different venues, here today.
In the ongoing league, two matches of Volleyball were to be scheduled today at Green Field Shastri Nagar, but only one match between Borderline Pallanwalla and Trikuta Club was played wherein Borderline Pallanwala emerged winner with 3-0 sets, whereas another match was postponed for next day due to rain.
Meanwhile, five matches of Kabaddi were played at Bhagwati Nagar Indoor Sports Complex. The first match was played between Nagrota Warriors and Akhnoor Club in which Akhnoor Club won the match with the margin of 15 points, whereas Baba Jito Club defeated Kings Sports Club with narrow margin six points (37-31) and MA Stadium trounced Nagrota Warriors with the margin of 14 points (30-16).
The fourth match was played between Shaheed DBP Club and Akhnoor Club wherein Shaheed DBP Club team won by 41 points (67-26), whereas last match was played between Shaheed DBP Sports Club and Nagrota Warriors in which Shaheed DBP won the match with 26 points (40-14).
The matches were officiated by Ajay Kumar Gupta and Anil Sharma (Kabaddi coaches) along with two officials of Kabaddi Association.
Surinder Mohan Gupta, general secretary of Kabbadi Association introduced team players in the presence of Ashok Singh Divisional Sports Officer J&K sports Council Jammu and Reyaz Ahmad, Administrative Officer of the Council.
