JAMMU, June 4: Jammu Police XI registered emphatic win over Media XI and clinched the 3-matches T20 Cricket Series by 3-0 at GGM Science College Hostel Ground, here today.
The Series was organized by District Police Jammu under the supervision of Sunil Gupta, SSP Jammu, while Rajesh Gill, Chief Prosecuting Officer and former Ranji Trophy Player was the Co-ordinator.
The objective of the exhibition T20 match was to provide a platform for the Police Officers and Media persons to interact with each other and to help the cricket loving people feel the aroma of T20 Cricket.
The prizes were distributed among the teams by SP South and Headquarters Ramesh Kotwal in presence of Vinay Kumar SP Operation, Rajesh Gill Chief Prosecuting Officer, Amit Sharma DySP Nagrota, Akshay Khajuria Inspector,  Media Persons which includes Anil Bhat, Vivek Suri, Sunil Bali, Amit Kumar, Jagdeep Singh, Rahul Khatri, Ashu and Rohit.
In the match, Jammu Police XI defeated Jammu Media XI by 40 runs.
Batting first, Jammu Police XI scored 190 runs for the loss of 3 wickets in 20 overs. Farooq Ahmad scored brilliant 109 runs with 14 fours and 4 sixes, while Sandeep Choudhary also made valuable 21 runs with 3 boundaries and Rajesh Gill contributed 15 runs to the total.
From Media XI Ashu and Jagdeep shared 1 wicket each.
Media Eleven, in reply scored 150 runs in 20 overs, thus lost the match by 40 runs. Jagdeep scored 28 runs, while Ranjeet and Rahul Khatri contributed 27 and 17 runs to the total respectively. .
From bowling side Sandeep Choudhary, Rajesh Gill, Vartual, Adishwer and Amit Sharma took 1 wicket each.
Farooq Ahmad from Jammu Police XI was adjudged as man of the match and best Batsman of the Series, while Sandeep Choudhary was declared best Bowler and Rajesh Gill as the Man of the Series.
The match was officiated by Sadiq Hussain, Saleem-ur-Rehman and Vinod.
