Jammu pledges for ‘No Tobacco Society’; Walkathon organized

JAMMU, May 28: Awareness march from Bahu Plaza to Apsara road, Gandhi Nagar Jammu was held in which organizers Art of Living and Indian Dental Association was joined by over thousand participants from Red Cross, CRPF, students of various Schools, Civil society, Doctor fraternity and various Business and Social organizations in wee hours, here today.
Vikram Randhawa, MLC BJP along with Director School Education Jammu Sr Ravinder Singh flagged off the Walkathon as the chief guest while Surendera Nath, Commanding Officer CRPF 60th battalion was guest of honour. Vikram Gujral, member North Apex Art of Living, Yogesh Gaur and Savinder Gupta were other dignitaries present on the occasion.
The closing function was held at Boys HSS ground, Apsara road, where chief guest and the guest of honour spoke on tobacco  menace  in society and took pledge along with all present to eradicate it from the society.
Dr. Hitesh Gupta, Indira Gandhi, Govt. Dental College was the host speaker on occasion along with  Ajay Kapoor, State Coordinator DDC.
Yogesh Gaur, international faculty AoL had an interactive session teaching various breathing techniques to build up confidence and to energize ourselves and techniques to resist from any addicted agents.
In the end, Ajay Kapoor presented the vote of thanks and applauded the efforts made by the Indian Dental Organisation and Art of Living J&K Chapter.
