JAMMU, Mar 3: Jammu Open Squash Championship organized by the Jammu and Kashmir Squash Rackets Association got underway at Jammu Club, here today.
The Championship which being sponsored by Jammu and Kashmir State Sports Council and Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited, is witnessing the organization of the events in veteran, senior and junior categories.
In the veteran category, Dr NS Jamwal defeated RS Jasrotia by (2-1) sets, while Imran Ahmed got better of RS Jasrotia by the same margin.
In senior category, Shivang Puri prevailed over Sukhdeep Singh by (2-1) sets, while Sanchit Batta defeated Rahil Braroo and Ajay Kapoor by the same margin of (2-1) sets.
The matches were officiated by Krishan Kumar.
