JAMMU, Jan 3: FIST Fighters Club in association with J&K Police and J&K Tourism organized the 1st edition of 50 km Jammu-Katra Ultra Flag Run under the supervision and guidance of Mukesh Kumar, Race Director and Ultra Runner, here today.
More than 50 participants across various walks of life as well as of different age groups participated in the event enthusiastically.  The event was flagged off by Deepak Digra, Superintendent of Police (South), Jammu from Bahu Plaza and all participants covered the distance of more than 50 kilometers before finishing the event at Sansar Resorts, Katra.
The route for the event was from Bahu Plaza, Panama Chowk, Bahu Fort Police Station, Qasim Nagar, Narwal, Siddhra, Nagrota Bye-Pass, Ban Toll plaza, Domail and Katra.
Earlier, a two minute silence was observed to pray for those who lost their lives at Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine on New Year’s Day.
The sponsors of the event were Garmin India, Stryder (A Tata product), Lifespeed, SMVD Narayana Hospital, Suri Jewellers, Swastik Hotel, My Physio, Divine Grace, Ecocylecture, AV Arogya, J.K. Sales Corporation and Sat Sai Nutrition.
The participants included Colonel HR Sunil, Indian Army, Naresh Sharma, DySP, Bishnesh Kumar, Inspector JKP, Dr Vikram Sahi, Dr Sanjeev Mohan, Sudhir Anand, Rahul Bhau, members of Kathua Distance Runners and Ranbir Singh Sports Club (RS Pura).
