JAMMU, June 11: Scripting a thrilling win over Punjab Junior Cricket XI, Jammu Junior Cricket team XI registered first win in the exposure tour for Jammu Junior Cricket Team at Amandeep Singh Cricket Academy Amritsar, which is being organized by Zonal Police Headquarters Jammu.
In the first match of the series Harvinder Singh was the chief guest and Dr. Shahbaz Singh MD Amandeep Cricket Academy was the guest of honour.
While Speaking on the occasion Harvinder Singh said that they are aiming at holding special talent cricket camp for the fast bowlers of J&K (under 19 years) at Jammu in collaboration with Jammu Police and during the camp the most talented bowlers will be selected and adopted by the Amandeep Singh Cricket Academy, after their grooming at Amritsar they will be send for special training at MRF Pace academy and all the expenses including their education will bear by Amandeep Singh Cricket Academy.
The others who are present on the occasion are Dr. Shahbaz Singh MD Amandeep Singh Cricket Academy Amritsar, Indian Junior International Player Manish Sharma, TP Singh India A Player and Sr. Coach of Amandeep Cricket Academy,Rajesh Gill former Ranji Player and Incharge of the team,Kamal Choudhary Treasurer of the Academy, Coaches of Jammu Team Dilbag Singh and Vishal Singh.
Batting First, Jammu Junior Cricket team scored 181 runs for all wickets in 28.2 overs. Main scorers were Rydham with 56 runs, Ritwic Sharma with 28 runa, Aryan 18 and Swastic Sharma 11 runs.
Abay and Pawan took 3 wickets each, while Arman and Arshdeep shared 1 wicket for Punjab team.
In reply Punjab Junior Cricket teams tried best but they fell short of 6 runs and lost the match. Abay with 46 runs,Pawan with 47 runs and Arshdeep with 15 runs were the main scorers.
Rydham was declared as man of the match.
