Jammu District Kabaddi Championship gets underway

JAMMU, Oct 6: Jammu District Kabaddi Championship was inaugurated by Rajan Sharma, Divisional Sports Officer of J&K State Sports Council, here today.
Inderjeet Sharma, District president, Ravi Singh, Manager Indoor Stadium, Anil Modi, organizing secretary, Kuldeep Kumar Gupta, general secretary, Shakti Dutt Sharma, Sanjeet Kumar, Anil Sharma, Ravinder Singh Bali, Ankush Gupta, Sudesh Sharma and senior players of J&K Police and the junior players of the Jammu District were present on the occasion.
Earlier, in boys section, BVM School won the match by 32 points from Guru Nanak High School, Shiv Public School defeated High School Nagrota by 19 points, Bhour Camp Hr. Secondary School trounced Janto Model Academy by 22 points, Unique Public School won the match by 24 points from Bharti Shiksha and Jagriti Mission School defeated SL Memorial Model School by 4 points, while in girls section, Govt Higher Secondary School Nagrota defeated GCW Parade by 13 points, KV No-1 Gandhi Nagar won the match by 40 points from Vishav Bharti School, KN No-1 Gandhi Nagar won the match by 19 points, defeating Stephan International School and Vishav Bharti School defeated Govt Sr Secondary School, Nagrota by 9 points.
