REASI, Dec 15: The Department of Youth Services and Sports, Reasi concluded UT-level Inter-District Under-19 Boys Softball Tournament at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Sports Complex, Katra. In the final match, District Jammu defeated District Srinagar by 4-2 to lift the championship title.
District Youth Services and Sports Officer Tarsem Singh welcomed the chief guest Sanjeev Kotwal, participating teams and dignitaries. He informed that over 600 players from Under-14, Under-17, and Under-19 age groups participated in the tournament. He acknowledged the support of the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board, especially Sachin Kumar Vaishya, CEO, and Dhruv Gupta, Director Sports, for smooth conduct of the event.
The final match was officiated by Opinderpal Singh, Madan Mohan, Rakesh Singh, SS Sodhi, Dheeraj Singh, and Rakesh Kumar Sharma, among others. The event concluded on a high note, promoting sportsmanship and youth participation in softball across the UT.
