Jammu celebrates India’s thrilling win over Pakistan

JAMMU, Sept 21: Celebrations broke out across Jammu after India’s emphatic six-wicket win over Pakistan in the Asia Cup Super 4s. In the old city, fans flooded the streets, waving national flags, dancing, and bursting firecrackers in a show of national pride.
Cricket enthusiasts, especially youngsters, cheered loudly, chanting “India-India” as the city turned into a carnival of joy. The win marked India’s second consecutive victory over Pakistan in the tournament.
Opener Abhishek Sharma stole the show with a blistering 74 off 39 balls, including six fours and five sixes. He partnered with Shubman Gill (47 off 28) to build a 105-run opening stand, helping India chase down 172 in just 18.5 overs.
“Back-to-back wins against Pakistan are special. The openers were fearless and brilliant,” said a local fan.
The dominant performance further boosted India’s chances in the tournament and lit up hearts across the nation.
