Jammu boy wins silver in Wrestling Nationals

JAMMU, June 23: Young Wrestler of Jammu, Nattar Singh secured Silver medal in the ongoing National under-15 Wrestling Championship, organised by Wrestling Association of India at Kota in Rajasthan.
As per the reports reaching here, Nattar Singh, who contested in the 57 kg category, lost in the final.
Meanwhile, president of the J&K Wrestling Association, Dushyant Sharma congratulated young Nattar and appreciated the efforts of his coach, Ravi Sharma.
“With the introduction of competition in the lower age group at the National level, we in J&K have also started involving more and more young boys and girls so as to raise competitive teams,” said Dushyant Sharma, former President Wrestling Federation of India and President J&K Olympic Association.
Earlier, J&K deputed a 12-member team, including four girls for the National Championship.
