JAMMU, Nov 21: For the first time in the history of Jammu and Kashmir, 13 runners from Jammu participated in Delhi 9th Edition Airtel Half Marathon 2016.
Around 45000 runners took part in this event from all over the world in different age categories. Jammu lads completed the said event in the given time and brought 13 medals to the State.
In the age category of 18 to 25 years, Ravleen Kour with 02:24 :29 seconds and Virender Sharma with 01:41:31 seconds completed the marathon, while in the age category of 25 to 30 years, Nakul Saraf 02:09:33 seconds excelled in the event and in the age category of 35 to 40 years, Gaurav Gupta with 01:56:05 seconds and Dillawar with 01:56:22 seconds succeeded in completing the half marathon and in the age category of 40 to 45 years, Vinod Padha 02:04:48 seconds emerged successful.
In age category of 45 to 50 years, Pawan Sharma 02:21:34 seconds; in age category of 50 to 55 years,
VK Dogra 02:10:22 sec and Sanjay Saini 02:26:01 sec; in age category of 55 to 60 years, Rampal Kapoor 01:38:32 sec and Rajesh Padha 01:47:33 sec; in age category of 60 to 65 years, Parbhat Singh 01:47:57 sec and Satish Sharma 03:13:08 seconds emerged successful.
