Jaipur Pink Panthers pip Bengaluru Bulls 24-22 in Pro-Kabaddi

BENGALURU, July 13: Jaipur Pink Panthers today beat Bengaluru Bulls 24-22 in  closely contested encounter to lead the points table in the Pro-Kabaddi Season 4, here today.
Captain Jasvir Singh scored five raids points and Rajesh Narwal scored one bonus point and three raid points to lay the foundations for Jaipur’s win.
The hosts remain at sixth position with 21 points from nine games. Both teams were almost equal in terms of scoring raid points with Bengaluru and Jaipur, bagging 13 and 12 points each.
However, Jaipur scored over the hosts by winning nine tackle points against six bagged by Bengaluru. Both teams sketched two all out points each, and also scoring one extra points each.
Trailing in the first half by 9-15, the hosts began the second half confidently, winning points constantly. Ashish Kumar brought his team 14-15 with a crucial two points raid in 24th minute.
For the first time in the match, Bengaluru raised past 17-16 in 26th minute after they downed Jasvir for an all out.
Rohit once again scored a crucial point, taking Bengaluru score to 18-7 in 29th minute. With five minutes to left for the final bell, Bengaluru tackled down Ajay and Rohit gets another Panther out, but Jaipur got a technical point, with scores level at 21.
With just less than 2 minutes left, Bengaluru trailed by 2 points.  The first half belonged to Jaipur as they ended at 15-9 against the hosts in 20 minutes.
Amit Hooda bagged four points and captain Jasvir Singh bagged four and three points each with Ran Singh fetching two crucial points.
For Bengaluru, Deepak Kumar Dahiya and Rohit Kumar bagged three points each and Ashish Kumar, Amit Rathi and Mohit Chillar helped themselves score one points each. Substitute Pawan Sherawat bagged two points for the hosts. (PTI)
