JAMMU, Apr 4: The Red Bull Campus Cricket (RBCC) city qualifiers are taking place simultaneously across 29 cities, including 9 cities of Jammu, Jalandhar, Chandigarh, Jaipur, Lucknow, Delhi, Dehradun and Meerut in North.
Dehradun City Qualifiers Champion ITM College beat Meerut City Qualifiers Champion Shubharti College by 7 wickets at Gandhi Baug, Cantonment, Meerut to enter the Regional Rounds of Red Bull Campus Cricket 2018. Shubharti College Meerut won the toss and elected to ball first. Sayyam Arora from ITM College Dehradun received the man of the match award for scoring unbeaten 32 runs in 29 balls.
Jammu City Qualifiers Champion Science College beat Jalandhar City Qualifiers Champion DAV College Jalandhar by 6 wickets at Science College Ground Jammu. This is a huge upset for RBCC 2017 National Finals Runner-up DAV College Jalandhar as they are now eliminated. DAV College Jalandhar won the toss and elected to bat first. Arun from Science College Jammu received the Man of the Match award for taking 3 crucial wickets.
ITM College Dehradun and Science College Jammu will compete along with other 4 cities in the Regional/zonal finals in the ongoing month. The top two teams from each zone will then compete in the National finals.
