‘International Peace Day’ celebrated

JAMMU, Sept 21: Jammu and Kashmir Bharat Scouts and Guides celebrated ‘International Peace Day’ by holding a programme at SHQ, Gandhi Nagar, here today.
ID Soni, former State Commissioner (S) J&K Bharat Scouts and Guides was the chief guest, while Atual Kumar, Joint Director Youth Services and Sports Jammu was the special guest on the occasion.
All the dignitaries took active part and gave their views on the Day under the theme “End Racism and Build Peace” in a very impressive and touching manner, Their message was very much result oriented and Scouts and Guides were highly inspired to listen to them and felt motivated as they also shared about their journey in their respective fields.
Nasreen Khan, MM Joshi, HL Dogra, RC Vaid, PL Dubey, MM Joshi welcomed the dignitaries, followed by all the dignitaries were felicitated by presenting a shawl for their contribution in their respective fields.
Ashok Sharma, RC Vaid, KL Sharma, Harvinder Kour, Manjeet Kour, Jyoti Verma, Neeru Talwar, MB Shawl, Rita Sharma, Jyoti Wali, Seema Sharma, Ritika Sharma and Monica were present during the event, while the whole programme was conducted by Uma Jamwal, J&K Coordinator and Messenger of Peace J&K.
Later, Nasreen Khan, J&K Secretary cum Administrator officer presented a formal vote of thanks.
