UDHAMPUR, Sept 6: 3-day long District Level Inter-School Tournament for Under-19 boys and girls in the disciplines of kabaddi, volleyball, kho-kho and wrestling concluded at Sports Stadium, here today.
Balwant Singh Mankotia was the chief guest in the valedictory function, while Sukhdev Singh, District Youth Services and Sports Officer Udhampur was also present on the occasion. The chief guest and the District Sports Officer, who was also organizing secretary of the event distributed prizes among the winners and runners-up teams.
Earlier, in Under-19 boys kabaddi final, Higher Secondary School Damnote defeated HSS Udhampur by 9 points, while in volleyball title clash, HSS Tikri got better of HSS Udhampur by three sets to two in an exciting contest.
The matches were officiated by Rakesh Sawhney, Pushap Kumar, Raman Kumar, Parshotam Kumar, Shashi Bali, Sudesh Kumar, Shashi Sharma, Amit Sharma, Kuldeep Sharma and Amit Verma.
