KATHUA, May 7: A 4-day Inter School Tournament took off today at Zone Lakhanpur here at the Kharote high school ground.
The tournament was declared open by the Principal Government High School, Pritam Chand.
Being held under the supervision of Zonal Physical Education Officer, Lakahnpur, the matches were played in Kabaddi, Volleyball and kho- kho under the age group of 14 years and 17 years in boys and girls category.
In the opening match of volleyball under 17 girls category, Govt. HSS Hatli beat Govt H.S.S Basantpur by two sets, while under 14 years girls, Govt M.S Hote defeated Govt. H.S Gaitrwan by one set.
In Kabaddi , under 17, Girls Govt. H.S Tridwan registered a win by 10 points over Govt. H.S Basantpur, while Govt HSS Hatli won by 12 Points defeating Govt. M.S Dhanore. In under 14 category, Girls Govt M.S Dhanna, score victory by 7 points over Govt. H.S Tridwan.
In Kho- Kho, under 17, Govt. H.S Dhanore won over Sishu Bahar Janglote by 4 points, while Govt. HSS Tridwan defeated Nav Jagriti, Kharote by 8 points. Govt. H.S.S Hatli score victory over Govt. H.S S Keerian by 7 points. Govt. H.S Kharote defeated Govt. H.S Basantpur by 6 points.
In under 14 category M. S Hote won by 4 points, M.S Janglote won by two points, M.S Kharote won by 4 points and H.S Tridwan won by 10 points.
