JAMMU, Aug 10: In continuation with the Army’s efforts to contribute towards the development of the people residing in Border Areas, Army organized an ‘Inter School Painting and Essay Competition’ at Govt High School, Hamirpur Sidhar, under the Operation Sadbhavana project, today.
Students drawn from 15 Schools of the area participated in the event.
The Painting competition witnessed children from classes VI to XII participate with utmost zeal and enthusiasm and showcased their talent artistically on the canvas.
The essay competition witnessed children eloquently expressing their thoughts with passion and were able to put forth their views clearly.
The chief guest distributed the prizes among the winners and consolation prizes among all the participants.
Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest emphasized on the importance of such events which enhance creativity, confidence and communication skills of the children in ensuring their personality development.
