DODA, May 22: Annual inter-school competition of Zone Thathri in district Doda was held in the disciplines of Chess, Carrom and Painting in both boys and girls sections under the banner of Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS) at Government High School Thathri grounds.
The competition was organised by Zonal Physical Education Officer (ZPEO) Thathri, Rakesh Kakar under the overall supervision of district officer (DYSS), Ashok Kotwal.
“Now, the winners of different events shall take part in the district level competitions,” said ZPEO Kakar.
In the finals, Headmaster of the host school, Ghulam Farooq was the chief guest, who appreciated the participants, especially the girls.
In all, 32 girls and 27 boys drawn from 16 institutions participated in this tournament.
The technical panel for this meet comprised Madan Lal (PEM), Raj Kumar (PEM), Mohan Singh (PEM), Daleep Singh (PEM), Rattan Lal (PET), Rajinder Singh (PET), Davinder Kumar (PET), Manjeet Singh and Inderjeet Singh.
