JAMMU, May 21: District Level Inter-School Competitions in the discipline of Judo boys’ Under-14 and Under-17 years concluded at Indoor complex, M A Stadium, here today.
In all, 175 girls drawn from various Govt and Private Institutions of district Jammu took part in the Competitions.
The Competition was organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports as a part of Annual Calendar of Activates, under the supervision of Sukhdev Raj Sharma, DYSSO Jammu.
The Championship was concluded by DYSSO Jammu in a simple and well attended function.
The matches were officiated by Judo experts Varinder Sharma and Raman Sharma.
In Under-14 girls, the gold medals went to Taniya of Shastri Memorial School in below 23 kg; Nitika Sharma of the same School in below 27 kg; Anisha of Shastri Memorial School in below 32 kg; Sarita Sharma of Shastri Memorial School in below 36 kg; Tanvi of the Same School in below 40 kg; Bhawana Gupta of Dewan Devi School in below 44 kg and Tanisha of BSF School in above 44 kg.
In Judo Under-17 girls, the gold medals were claimed by Rupali of Shastri Memorial School in below 36 kg; Pranvi Rajput of KC International School in below 40 kg; Prachi Bhagat of GD Goenka School in below 44 kg; Vanshika Manhas of GD Goenka in below 48 kg; Amrita Roshan of GD Goenka in 52 kg; Priyanshi of GD Goenka in below 56 kg; Rohini of Govt HSS Rehari in below 61 kg and Malvika Kapoor of GD Goenka in above 61 kg.
