JAMMU, Sept 13: Mount Litera Zee School, Tarore today organized Sahodaya Inter School Hindi Debate Competition.
Sixteen CBSE Schools of Jammu region participated in the debate competition. Sunaina Mehta, Secretary, Jammu Municipal Corporation witnessed the program as chief guest where as Nirmal Mahna, president, Sahodaya School Complex, Jammu chapter was the presiding guest.
Others presented during the function were the School chairman Dr AK Kapoor, Managing Director PB Kapoor, Pramod Kumar Srivastava Principal, Model Academy, Jammu, KCS Mehta, Principal Army Public School, Akhnoor, Vikesh Kour, PRO Sahodaya School Complex and Swarn Choudhary (IDPS, Jammu).
Topic of the debate was –“Does the education given through internet/online is better than school education”. The competition was judged by Jia Lal Sharma, Ex-Director, Department of Horticulture, Sunita Santoshi, Deputy Director, Helpage India and Rashpal Sharma, Headmaster Government Middle School, Sarwa.
From each school there were two participants– one spoke in the favor and one against the topic. Each candidate highlighted his/her views over the topic and tried to convince and motivate the audience from their wordings.
In the competition, Prateek won 2nd consolation prize, Samridhi Sharma from DPS Kathua won 1st consolation prize, Mishti Sharma from Stephens International School won 3rd position, Bhavya Magotra won 2nd position and Stuti from Mount Litera Zee School, Tarore won first position.
On the occasion, the School Management also donated Rs 36500 to Help age India for the welfare of the needy and poor people of the nation.
