Inter-School Football Tournament concludes

JAMMU, Nov 30: Three days Inter-School Football Under-19 Tournament for Boys, organised by International Daily Rising School in collaboration with TRJ Academy and J&K Football Association in memory of Diego Armando Maradona, concluded, here today.
The final match of the tournament was played between City FC and Star FC wherein former defeated the later with 2-1 goals.
About nine teams with more than 100 players from Jammu, Samba and Udhampur participated in the TRJ Gold Cup Trophy Tournament.
Chief Fencing coach, Rashid Ahmed Choudhary was the chief guest of the event while Atul Pangotra, Commonwealth Games medallist was the special guest and Narinder Gupta, chairman of JKFA, Intikhab Alam, AIFF instructor and Yousuf Don, secretary JKFA were guests of honour.
They congratulated the players and hoped that this event would inspire a lot more young talent to come forward and become part of this game.
“Practice always pays off, maintaining team spirit is a must and last but not the least, participants must learn to bounce back in case they do not win,” they advised.
Dr Atul Hans, Principal cum Academic Director of the host school said that the vision of the school was to guide the youth for their holistic development by channelizing their energy towards meaningful activities.
The event was culminated with distribution of trophies, medals and certificates among the winners.
