JAMMU, Sept 2: The inter-school district level selection trials/competitions in the sports disciplines of Softball, Baseball, Speedball, Rugby and Boys (AAG) got underway at Government Model Middle School Satwari Cantt and Khel Gaon Nagrota, respectively here today.
The selection trials/competitions are being organized under the patronage of Director Youth Services and Sports, Subhash Chander Chibber, under the guidance of Joint Director, Youth Services and Sports Jammu, Suram Chand Sharma and the overall supervision of DYSSO Jammu Sukhdev Raj Sharma.
Today about 300 players of different zones of district Jammu took part in these trials/competitions. The main aim of these competitions is to select the best players for the next level of competition coming ahead.
DYSSO Jammu made surprised visit during the competition and appreciated the teams for taking part in the scorching heat. The matches were officiated by a panel of experts of the Department.
