SAMBA, Apr 20: The Department of Youth Services and Sports District Samba, organized Inter School District Level Basketball Tournament Under-17 (Boys) at Kristu Jyothi Convent High School, here.
All the five zones participated in the tournament with total number of 5 teams and 41 participants from all over the district. The Tournament was inaugurated by Sister Archana, Principal of the host School, while District Youth Services and Sports Officer, Samba, Subash Chander Bhardwaj was also present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion both the dignitaries stressed on more and more participation of youth in such events.
Prominent among others present on the concluding ceremony were Rakesh Verma, BD Sharma, Vijay Singh Slathia, Pardeep Singh and Raghubir Singh.
The final match was played between Humanity Public School, Bassi Kalan Bari Brahmana and Rich Harvest High School, Bari Brahmana.
The match was won by Humanity Public School by 15 points.
The officiating panel included Anirudh Singh Slathia, Rekha Sambyal, Raju Sharma, Suman Raj Singh, Sanjay Gupta, Davinder Singh and Madhuri Jamwal.
